The goal of this program is to improve management of coronary heart disease in women and pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1.Discuss spontaneous coronary artery dissection, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, and coronary spasm in women. 2.List differences between men and women regarding pathophysiology and course of cardiovascular disease. 3.Review data about postmenopausal hormone therapy. 4.Select appropriate medications for PAH based on symptoms and clinical findings. 5.Describe drugs and their mechanisms used in the treatment of PAH.
