Conversations in Treatment of Moderate to Severe Psoriasis

Provided by:

Course Description

The dynamics of improving patient care take center stage during this enduring video activity that was produced based on the recorded symposium at the Maui Derm for Dermatologists 2016 meeting. Opening with patient stories of their psoriasis burden, a set of compelling presentations will focus on helping dermatologists stay up-to-date with the latest developments in psoriasis care. Fast-paced and succinctly delivered, the presentations will explore new developments and provide insights into the impact of psoriasis on quality of life and work productivity. The speakers will explain critical aspects of the pathogenesis of psoriasis, explore issues related to caring for patients not responding to traditional systemic treatments, and review approaches to diagnosing and treating psoriatic arthritis. The second half of the activity will include a discussion of difficult-to-treat patients with moderate to severe psoriasis and comorbidities, followed by a question and answer session. This activity blends multiple presentation styles, including TED-style talks, traditional clinical presentations, and a multidisciplinary roundtable with an intent to educate, engage, inspire, and incite change.
